Cooper Gelbvieh is located in central Kansas consisting of 50-60 spring calving Gelbvieh and Balancer pairs. Ron and LaRue Cooper started the family owned operation, in the late 1980’s. They started out by purchasing a few Gelbvieh pairs, but mainly Gelbvieh heifers for their kids Eric, Evan, and Tana to show in the Kansas Gelbvieh Junior shows and 4-H events. Through the years they noticed the improvement in the calf crop’s weaning weights and gradually replaced their commercial cows with Gelbvieh and Balancer females.

Today, we proudly have a combination of Black and Red Gelbvieh/Balancer cattle that we feel blend a great phenotypic look with solid EPD numbers. It is our goal to breed low birth to high growth calves that are sound structured, well-muscled, and provide longevity to not only our herd, but to yours as well. We sell a select few bull and heifer calves each year, so please contact us and we wil help with your buying needs.
